President's Message

When people ask me why I decided to get involved with South Shore Child Guidance Center, this is what I tell them! I truly believe there is no greater mantra, than this.

As President of the Board of Directors of this Agency, it is a privilege to work side by side with Executive Director, Mary Lou Jones in advising, chairing the board, and giving whatever help and support I can to aid them in their daily course.

With a thriving board and a dedicated, committed staff of skilled, compassionate workers, we currently see over 500 children and families a year, totaling over 10,000 visits on an annual basis. There is a tremendous need for the services and programs provided, with some programs having a lengthy waiting list.

We are proud to say that 97% of our home based crisis interventions are successful, keeping children out of hospitals and getting them the care they need in either a home or office setting. Whether it be for weekly clinic visits for therapy, family counseling, crisis intervention, or parent education our Agency and Staff give 110% every time.
