The Zonta Club of Long Island was chartered in 1935 with members from Nassau, Suffolk and Queens, NY. We currently have 30 members that meet monthly, usually on the 3rd Thursday of each month, at the Inn at New Hyde Park on Jericho Turnpike. At monthly meetings members learn about issues facing women, develop and conduct fun- fundraising that benefit community programs that help advance the status of women.
Via Zonta International our club has international ties that include links with the United Nations and international service programs. Zonta International is a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status of women. There are 33,000 members in more that 1,200 clubs located in 68 counties/ geographic areas.
